Very interesting conference about the gender gap in science, discussing many different angles in how we fail to acknowledge the difference between genders and the absolute necessity to start doing it in order to develop efficient strategies (preventive and curative) to provide better healthcare to all people

It has been a difficult start of the week for queer people in Luxembourg. After the publication of a petition n°3198 to ban LGBT themes from schools, the local community has been in an uproar. On a personal note, I didn't comment on any of the ongoing discussions until the ADR deputee Weidig posted on Facebook. And so it became necessary to debunk emotional arguments with hard facts: There is no such thing as an LGBTIQ+ Ideology, never was and never will be. Being queer is not a belief, it is a fact. Together with the community, we stand behind these words, as the existence of queer people cannot and will not be denied. Let us not forget Stonewall, the AIDS epidemic, etc. A counter petition has been sent in, an open letter is being prepared. I urge you all, especially now, to share this and show your support for the queer community in Luxembourg. As president of Rosa Lëtzebuerg and as human being, I do not tolerate hatred (not to mention when it is based on loose facts with no proof behind it) and I hope neither do you. #LGBTIQ #diversity #luxembourg #petition3198 #proud #queer

The Pride Month (USA) and the Luxembourg Pride Week are over. Don't be mistaken, discrimination and hatred against queer people still persists.I hope we don't all put our Rainbow colors away for another year, but that we can use this momentum to create internal changes, deal with intersectionality in a more inclusive manner. There is still a lot to do before everyone can live their lives and feel safe wherever they are. Reflect, within yourself, within your organisations/companies and work across borders by setting the example.Be proud, every day!

And the last presentation is in the book before the start of the Luxembourg Pride. Sharing our insights with the corporate world to raise awareness for the queer community and to push internal policies towards more and efficient DEI initiatives. It is always a pleasure to do these kind of interventions, presentations and workshops. These events open the doors for further discussion, which is still a necessity today. We need to keep moving forward, because queer rights are human rights. We live in a multidisciplinary and intersectional world where we need to reflect deeper on our privileges and biases so everyone can have their place in our society.
