What is a Peach Cobbler co*cktail?

A peach cobbler co*cktail is a dessert co*cktail that features the flavors of peach, cinnamon, and a creamy element. It’s designed to emulate the classic peach cobbler dessert with cinnamon-seasoned peaches under a sweet, biscuit-like crust.

In fact, it’s also a great drink option to serve alongside your dessert as a pairing option. Check out my Air Fryer Peach Cobbler or my Microwave Peach Cobbler recipes for some simple dessert recipes!

One of the best ways to make a peach cobbler co*cktail is through the use of Crown Royal peach, which already has that juicy peach flavor right in the alcohol! Then, pair it with RumChata for the creamy cinnamon element and you have a delicious drink.

If you don’t have one (or both) of those ingredients, I’ll give you some swaps and alternatives as well, so you can enjoy a similar drink with whatever you can get!

Or, just try a different flavor altogether – like my Blackberry Cobbler co*cktail!

Peach Cobbler co*cktail Ingredients

Peach Cobbler co*cktail: Easy Drink With Crown Royal - Dinners Done Quick (3)
  • 2 ounces Crown Royal peach whiskey
  • 2 ounces RumChata horchata cream liqueur
  • ½ ounce fresh lemon juice (optional; see notes)
  • ½ tsp honey (or to taste)
  • Ice cubes

For the Rim

  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • Lemon wedge

Ingredient Tips and Substitutions

  • If you don’t have Crown Royal peach whiskey, you can use plain Crown instead and add ½ ounce of peach nectar, peach schnapps, or crème de pêche liqueur for flavor. You can also swap in rum, vodka (Ciroc and New Amsterdam make a peach flavor vodka), or gin as a base and add one of those peach options for flavoring
  • Instead of RumChata, you can use equal parts of half and half and Frangelico, or Bailey’s with a pinch of cinnamon
  • The lemon juice is optional, but I like to add just a small amount to offset the sweetness of the drink (and there’s normally a small amount of lemon juice in the dessert too). If you want a sweeter drink, omit it. You can also add a few dashes of bitters (peach bitters are great if you can find them)
  • If you don’t want to add honey, you can use agave, maple syrup, or orgeat syrup instead. Feel free to omit entirely if you prefer, but I think it rounds out the flavor well
  • You can also use graham cracker crumbs for the glass rim if preferred

How to Make Peach Cobbler co*cktail

  1. Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon for the rim on a plate or in a shallow bowl. Rim your glass by running a lemon wedge around the outside edge. Then, dip the wet edge of the glass into the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture, turning to coat. Fill the glass with ice

Recipe FAQs

What Type of Alcohol Is Best for a Peach Cobbler co*cktail?

Bourbon, whiskey, and vodka are excellent choices for a peach cobbler co*cktail. Bourbon and whiskey adds a rich, warm flavor, while vodka provides a cleaner taste, letting the peach flavor shine.

However, you can also use gin or rum as a base if preferred and they still work well. Using Crown Royal peach is a great choice here, since the whiskey already contains peach flavor.

How Do I Make a Non-Alcoholic Peach Cobbler co*cktail?

For a non-alcoholic mocktail version, substitute the alcohol with peach juice or nectar, and add a splash of sparkling water, sparkling apple juice, or club soda for some fizz.

Garnish with fresh peach slices and cinnamon.

Can I Add Other Fruits to My Peach Cobbler co*cktail?

Yes, you can experiment with adding fruits like raspberries or blueberries to add a unique twist to your peach cobbler co*cktail.

You can use flavored syrups, purees, or even muddle fresh fruits in the shaker before mixing the co*cktail.

What Glassware Should I Use for a Peach Cobbler co*cktail?

A rocks glass or a coupe glass are the most common serving options for a peach cobbler co*cktail.

However, you can also use a highball, mason jar, or even a wine glass if you don’t have one of the other options available.

What Garnishes Can I Use for a Peach Cobbler co*cktail?

Common garnishes include fresh peach slices, a cinnamon stick, or a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or nutmeg.

For the rim, use graham cracker crumbs or a cinnamon brown sugar mixture to add a dessert-like touch.

Can I Serve a Peach Cobbler co*cktail Warm?

While traditionally served cold, you can make a warm version by gently heating the peach whiskey with lemon juice and honey and serving it in a mug, garnished with a cinnamon stick or a pinch of cinnamon.

You’ll want to omit the cream liqueur for a hot version, but you can always top the drink with whipped cream for serving to replace that element.

How Can I Adjust the Sweetness of a Peach Cobbler co*cktail?

Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey (or a similar sweetener) added.

Taste the mixture before serving and tweak according to your preference.

Is a Peach Cobbler co*cktail Suitable for Batches?

Yes, you can make a large batch of peach cobbler co*cktails by scaling up the ingredients. You can mix them ahead of time (without the ice) in a pitcher and store in the refrigerator.

Shake individual portions with ice, then strain into rimmed glasses for serving.

Crown Royal Peach Cobbler Drink Recipe Tips

  • Add some frozen peach slices in place of some (or all) of the ice cubes to cool your drink with minimal dilution!
  • For a stronger drink, add more Crown Royal peach, and for a weaker drink, add less. You can supplement the peach flavor with some peach puree or nectar if needed (if you reduce the alcohol too much)
  • If you prefer a sweeter drink, add more honey (or another sweetener of choice). For a less sweet drink, omit the honey, or add more lemon juice or bitters to counteract with sour

Serving Tips for a Peach Cobbler co*cktail

  • Typical glassware for a peach cobbler co*cktail is either a lowball (rocks) glass or a coupe glass. However, you can also use a highball, mason jar, or wine glass if needed
  • For batch serving, mix all ingredients without ice in a pitcher and store in the refrigerator until needed. Stir and pour into individual glasses rimmed and filled with ice for serving. Feel free to leave out sweetener and let guests adjust according to their own preferences!

Final Thoughts

This peach cobbler co*cktail made with Crown Royal peach whiskey is a delicious drink that’s like dessert in a glass! It’s perfect for summer with its sweet peach flavors (and you can pair it with real peach cobbler if you like).

While the combination of Crown peach and RumChata makes for an easy version of this drink, there are of course other ways you can make it work, depending what you have on hand. However, this is one of my favorites because it’s simple yet delicious.
